Privacy Policy

About this notice

Updated 23 October 2026. This notice covers visits, enquiries and payment submissions on mybusinessplan.com.au, operated by Matthew Charles Lawson, sole trader, ABN 31 794 513 067. It is a website privacy notice, not a description of every separate client project. Please arrange project-specific document handling with us before sending confidential files or sensitive personal information.

Information you provide

The contact form collects your name, email address, optional phone number and message, with a separate optional mailing-list choice. The payment form collects contact details, your selected service and payment-related records. We use these details to respond to enquiries, arrange services and administer payments. Please provide only information needed for your enquiry and do not send passwords, full card details or unnecessary sensitive information in a message.

Forms and email notifications

Contact submissions are recorded through WPForms, and the form is configured to email a copy to you and the business operator. Payment submissions are recorded through Forminator in the website database; payment and payment-failure notifications are directed to the business operator. Website email is configured through WP Mail SMTP using SendLayer, and operator notifications are addressed to a Gmail mailbox. Email delivery and storage involve these service providers as well as the website host. Website notification emails include SendLayer tracking pixels and tracked links, which can record email opens and link clicks. Your email app’s image-loading settings may affect open tracking.

Payments

Stripe and PayPal are offered for payment processing. The selected provider handles payment information under its own terms and privacy notice. Please read the Stripe Privacy Center or PayPal Privacy Statement for provider-specific handling. This notice does not promise that all transaction information stays only on our website.

Website services, cookies and statistics

The website uses WordPress with Bluehost hosting and Jetpack services. Cookies and similar technologies support functions such as login, preferences, security and embedded payment features. Jetpack statistics and service features can process technical details such as IP address, browser information, pages visited and referring pages. See the Jetpack Privacy Center for feature-specific information. You can manage cookies through your browser; blocking them may affect website or checkout functions.

Comments and embedded content

If you leave a public comment, the information in the comment form and technical details such as IP address and browser information may be used for moderation and spam detection. Approved comments are public. Gravatar may receive a hash of your email address to provide a profile image; see Automattic’s privacy policy. Third-party embedded content and payment components can collect information directly and use their own cookies, particularly if you are signed in to their services.

Mailing-list choice

The contact form offers a separate, optional mailing-list choice. Making an enquiry does not require selecting it. You can ask us to change or withdraw your mailing-list preference using the contact route below.

Storage and overseas handling

Information is held in website form records and email copies, with payment records also handled by the selected payment provider. These services may process information outside Australia; we do not promise Australian-only storage. Their own notices describe their handling, including the SendLayer privacy policy and provider notices linked above.

Retention

Payment-form submissions currently have no automatic expiry in the website database. Form records, email copies and comments may remain until reviewed or deleted, and some records may need to be kept for business, legal or security purposes. This notice does not promise automatic deletion after a fixed period. You may contact us to ask about information held about you or request correction or deletion; we will consider the request and explain any applicable limitations.

Questions, requests and complaints

For a privacy question, access or correction request, deletion request or complaint, please use our contact page and mark your message “Privacy”. We may need to verify your identity before providing personal information. Include enough detail to identify the issue, but avoid unnecessary sensitive information. We will consider your concern and explain the response.
